The favorite use of snack credits thread got me wondering about what people consider a waste of a snack credit. What would you never use a snack credit for?

A soda! (Yes, they take them.)
Also, some of the fruit on Main Street.

A bottle of water or soda or a bag of chips

I was all set to say "a bottle of water", but I realized the whenever I get the DDP I eat WAY TOO MUCH. I do a grocery order at the beginning of my trip with staples such as bottled, water, nuts, sodas, mixers, etc.

I guess I'll go with chips or a soda. Why get a soda with your snack credit when you can get a Dole Whip? But, if you're trying not to oveinidulge maybe a bottle of watter isn't a bad idea.

In the old days, a snack credit could buy you a turkey leg, or one of the ice cream cookie sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow refreshments. Why would I want to waste something so precious on a bag of chips!

WATER HUGE WASTE.. That means you just paid 3.99 for a small bottle of water.Use it for breakfast, rolls, container of mixed fruit, popcorn, so much more for your money than water which is free.. Except in a bottle..Dole whips for sure, desserts, mickey rice krispy treats.. list goes on and on.

A bottled beverage of any kind is a waste of a snack credit to me

A piece of fruit. Of course, living here in the valley, I can practically pick fruit off trees on the roadside year round.

... anything I can get at home!

We love using ours for "special" things, Dole Whips, Mickey Bars, things from the Caramel Shop, etc.

Thank you for the suggestions! :mickey: So basically I should look at our snack credits as $4 in my pocket and try not to use them for anything that costs less than that, right? We're going to try to save some of them for the F&WF. Same principal there, pay out of pocket for anything significantly less than $4?

I don't use them for bottled drinks, bags of chips, or anything less than $2 usually. I try to get as close to $4 as I can, but my rule of thumb is to use them as treats and not on necessities.

We have a $3 rule. If it costs less than $3, we pay cash...save our snack credits for REAL treats!!

Are there any snack stands that are cash only or will they all take your KTTW card?

I'm sure I tried using my KTW card at a funnel cake kiosk somewhere near the American Pavillion in Epcot and couldn't. Not sure if the system was just down or why it was but I know I was bummed out.
Was hoping to enjoy one while watching Reflections.

What an interesting twist that I've never seen before...

I would say that a bottle of water would be my least favorite use of a snack credit because we always have water delivered to our room.

Since you are going to the Food and Wine, there are a plethora of additional snack options available - I would definitely use as many as possible at the food booths. Enjoy some signature dining by saving some dinner credits, and just eating dinner at the various booths.

We love to use our snack credits for the F&WF. Some of the food items if paid for out of pocket are around $7 so this is a great use of those credits.
