We're thinking about going to WDW in February. It's me, wife, 6yo, 4yo, and what would be a 7month. So do I ask for ressies for 4 and then ask for a highchair when we get there, or do I make ressies for 5?

When we dined with a 2 year old they asked for all of the members of the party even though the 2 year old didn't have to pay for meals.

We've traveled to WDW with babies plenty of times and have always been told to count everyone, even the baby.

Everyone counts, even if they aren't a "paying" customer, so make the reservations for 5, since there are 5 people who will be there.

Make reservations for 5, then you will sometimes get the disclaimer, "party may be seated at more than one table"...this totally amused my DH, he interpreted it as an adult table and the kids seated across the restaurant at a kids table:)

Due to the strict fire codes. Disney has to count all "persons." If you make a ressie for 4 and you show up with 4 and an infant (which is 5 in Disney terms) then you may lose the ADR and have to wait for the "next available" slot. Disney does try to work with guests in situations like these, but they have been fined so many times that it is a very strict policy now.

Here's a CM tip ...

... if you are looking for table service dining for 3, request a table for 4. A 4 top is more readily available than a 3 top ... don't ask me why but it has something to do with their computer system.

Also, if you are looking for a 5 top (incl baby) try for a 6. It is easier for them to adjust downward than up and to the earlier writers' point, you won't run the risk of being placed on the "next available" list.

Further, if you cannot get a 6, go for a 4 top and a 2 top, then stop by the reservation check-in desk early in the day and tell them that the two reservations are together so they can tag both reservations accordingly.

What the CM's hate the most are surprises at the 11th hour.
