Hey gang,

Just wondering about the size comparisons from US to European sizes. I'm looking at buying a jacket from Amsterdam, Netherlands. It's an outdoor, winter jacket. I like my jackets slightly bigger than they should be ( :) ), so I wear an XL in U.S. sizes. Would this be the same in Europe? Should I get 1 size bigger (YIKES!)? I just don't want to have to mess around with making a return all the way to Amsterdam and back if it doesn't fit right.

Any info would be appreciated, especially from any of our European Intercot family members!!! Thanks a lot, everyone!! :mickey:

If you are going for a XL then the Dutch may class it as a size 52-54. Why, I don't know. In the UK an XL is normally a size 42-44.

It all depends on the manufacturer as I find that when I buy clothes in a large size sometimes it's too big and sometimes it just fits right.

Certainly do a bit more research before you commit to buy.
