Aug. 4, 2000 – The Disney/Touchstone Pictures/Jerry Bruckheimer film “Coyote Ugly” was released.
Aug. 4, 2001 - The walls went up at Universe of Energy to have the original UoE signs relaced with the new logo signs and the ExxonMobil logo.
Aug. 4, 2002 – The Soundstation Pin Pursuit took place at the Disneyland Resort.
Aug. 4, 2003 – Disney’s new Priority Seating Policy went into effect allowing guests to make their priority seating arrangements 90 days in advance with the exception of a few restaurants.

Aug. 4, 2008 – The official website for Disney’s upcoming animated feature “The Princess and the Frog” was launched with the first teaser trailer of the movie.
Aug. 4, 2009 – WDW celebrated the opening of the first new monorail line resort hotel in more than two decades, when Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort debuted.
