How crowded is the International Gateway enterance @ ECPOT at rope drop? Does it attract the same numbers as the Main EPCOT enterance? Quicker / easier or about the same.

From personal experience some years ago, the International Gateway entrance does not have nearly the same number of people waiting at park opening. Back then they allowed us in a little early and we were held back by a rope near the bridge (before the UK pavilion) until rope drop. More recently I have heard that the International Gateway people are allowed to proceed all the way to the Future World area until rope drop there, so essentially you are in the same position as the folks who come in the main entrance.

We usually enter there, and have never found it to be super busy in early FEB.

We entered through the International Gatway the Friday after Thanksgiving one year, a busy day in general. The entrance back there was not bad at all, and we were able to make it Soarin very quickly.

Even during peak season, the International Gateway is not as jammed. If you are staying at one of the Boardwalk area resorts, definitely use it.

The International Gateway is definitely the way to go if you wanna start your day off in World Showcase, but it also puts you very close to the Imagination pavillion, Captain EO and Soarin. That entrance is never crowded it seems, I think most people don't know about it.

Much quicker/easier. It's one of the best perks about staying at an EPCOT area resort.
