Back in Feb after the Princess Half Marathon, some friends and I had ressies for California Grill to celebrate running the Princess.
Around 30-45 minutes prior to our ADR, they decided they were too tired to go and didn't want to spend the money. The ressies were in my name and on my CC. I was a bit irritated to say the least.... and I wanted to go so I just decided to go SOLO.
I went to the desk and explained that my friends backed out and apologized profusely offering to just eat at the bar but wanted to still eat upstairs as our ADR's were timed around fireworks. From that moment on...the people at Cali Grill couldn't be nicer. They insisted that I eat at the table since I would miss out on the experience by eating at the bar. They checked on me constantly ( and not just my waitress) They were the sweetest waiters and waitresses! They were so attentive. I had the best seat in the house! Wishing my husband had joined me (for the trip) since I had a great seat for two next to the window for the fireworks! The food was fabulous and I will definitely return to Cali Grill again.
Why did I send this post? Well I know that sometimes I our plans do not turn out the way we want them to....our friends don't always follow through with plans. We can do what we want to do or be disappointed and not do what we want....going solo at Disney is easy because you ALWAYS have a friend with a cast member....I had an incredible meal and a great time celebrating finishing the Princess Half Marathon!:joy:
Just DO IT! Enjoy the magic even if it doesn't turn out the way you planned it!
