Are now open.

I didn't expect those to be open until the end of the month. I really like what they have done with that area. It is beautifully landscaped with tons of out door seating. Some areas are covered with celing fans, other areas are open with lots of trees.

Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta looks so nice and open. They have pizza, flatbreads, pasta and salads. I was tempted to try the flat bread but is looked soooo small for the $8.99 price tag.

We continued on to explore Garden Grill. It is nothing like WDW Garden Grill since it is a CS. It is a Mediterranean style food. They have chicken and beef kabobs with rice. There are several different sauces you can have from mild to spicy. They also have Greek Salad.

We came back later for a late dinner. I had the Greek salad. Jessiva had the kids meal of a chicken kabob and rice with a dipping sauce and apple slices.

Jessica said her chicken was dry but it really looked good. She said the sauce tasted like salad dressing. My guess would be ranch since it was white.

My salad came with a large round of pita bread. The salad was good, but REALLY salty. I love salt, even dip my fries in it instead of ketchup. That salad dressing was just too salty for me. I saw one of the managers and told him that the dressing was too salty. He said they have been working on the recipe and he will let the chef's know.

I would try them again, only not getting the Greek salad. Maybe it is Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta for me next.

I've really been looking forward to the opening of this area. It looked great on paper. Thanks for posting your first hand report.

I had the steak kabobs (cooked medium so it was a bit pink) and the salad that came with blue cheese (but I asked if they could make it without the blue cheese and they did).

Both were yummy. The chocolate espresso cake was a bit dry :mickey:

Last night we had a chance to try the Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta. Everything looked really good.

Jessica had the pepperoni flatbread pizza and a small side salad. She reports that it was really good and would eat here again. I tried some of her pizza and it really was very tasty.

I had the Boardwalk greens salad. It is a mixture of salad greens, carmelized nuts (I think they were pecans), cranberries and raisins. It came with a balsamic vinegarette dressing. This was sooooo good and I really enjoyed it. It was such an improvement over the Greek salad from Garden Grill. This salad also had blue cheese which I don't care for. The cm made a special one up for me without the blue cheese. Great service.

I have a feeling Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta will be one of our regular spots. The pasta looked so good, but I didn't want all those carbs later at night. Next time we will have to have and earlier dinner or lunch there.

I finally got around to eating here on Thursday 07/14. First of all - hurray for all of the excellent seating choices! And I didn't realize there was to be a bandstand. That made it even more of an enjoyable experience, listening to music while relaxing with good food in the shade of beautiful trees.

DS & I chose to eat food from Paradise Garden Grill. We both ordered the beef kefta skewer (a spiced ground beef). I had the tandoori spiced yogurt sauce and DS had the tzatziki sauce. Each skewer plate came with a Mediterranean rice pilaf, cucumber salad, and pita bread. We both enjoyed our meals very much. And it was a good amount of food. I thought I might try the baklava for dessert, but didn't have room for it.

Every plate we saw from both the Garden Grill and Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta was generous in serving size. I think if you were willing to share that three adults would have plenty of food sharing two plates of anything. I will definitely be eating in this area again soon.

BTW . . . I don't know what I was expecting really, but was kind of disappointed in the beer selection at Bayside Brews. I think I was hoping to see more California breweries represented.

I agree. I like some of the choices but thought for a place called Bayside Brews that it would be a better selection.
