Always find it interesting to talk to others and learn where they have traveled from while in WDW. So here we go........

1. Where do you live?
2. How far is it from the magic?
3. How do you get to WDW?
4. How many different forms of transportation have you used to get to WDW?

Here are my responses............

1. Schuylkill Co. Pennsylvania
2. 1,058.14 miles
3. Fly
3. 3, once by bus:down:,four times by car and the rest by air.

3. We always fly
4. 2, if using the Magical Express counts. We always fly to FL then ride the Magical Express to WDW :mickey:

2. We do Kilometers up here, but don't know how many, 24 hour drive if that helps.

3. Drive or fly. The drive is not bad-especially on the way there. But coming back is just exhausting! So if we can swing it we try to fly.

2. How far is it from the magic? 893 miles (from my house to POP)
3. How do you get to WDW? We love to drive it! We like to go down through Mississippi and take a day or two seeing the sights and such before hitting the World
4. How many different forms of transportation have you used to get to WDW? We've flown a couple of times when gas was astronomical, we've gone in our own cars and once when going with friends, we rented a van and drove down together.

I personally have only driven down to WDW. Only my brother has flown down at a later date in the trip due to work.

3. How we get there - We fly. It would just take too long to drive.
4. How many forms of transport we've used - We've always flown. Maybe someday (if I can afford to retire) I could drive down. But that's a way off.

Marcellus, NY - middle of Upstate/Central NY, in the middle of horse farms and apple fields. :)

2. How far is it from the magic?

WAY too far!! (about 1240 miles, give or take a few... ;))

We usually fly, but this year we've split it up... my DH is flying to save vacation time, and our girls and I are driving to save $$$.

When I was young my family would drive to Walt Disney World from Cincinnati, but these days I always fly, especially given the good fares you can almost always find.

We've driven the past couple of trips.

In the past we have flown, taken the train and driven. If we drive, we still use Disney Transportation to get around to the parks. A few times we have flown and rented a car.

Where do you live:
Pittsburgh, PA

How far to WDW:
1,463,892 yards or approximately 832 miles.

How do we get to WDW:
Fly onto Orlando Airport. (Love that flight!!!!!)

What transportation have we used:
From airport, we've used Mear's Shuttle, rented vehicle from National, and most recently used the Magical Express. We'll be using that on out next vacation in October.

3. How do you get to WDW? mostly fly, have driven 3 or 4 times...rather fly! Have flown from Lansing, Detroit, Flint and Grand Rapids.
4. How many different forms of transportation have you used to get to WDW? car, plane & magical express, town car service the one time we flew into Sanford, and have gotten rental cars way back in the day when the kids were little and we had a lot of folks with us - saved so much on food by eating out of the parks that it well more than paid for the rental. Of course, that was back in the 90s!

4. I've only ever been in a car but if the new high speed rail they keep talking about stops at Disney (and why wouldn't it?) I might try it.

It is 984 miles from Wilmington to WDW.

My friends and I fly out of Philadelphia to Orlando, continuing on Disney's Magical Express.

We take a van to get to the airport, an airplane to get to Orlando, and a bus to get to our resort.

Sorry to break the sad news but we're not getting the high speed rail. The project was cancelled about a month ago by our new governor. Hopefully it will happen someday but it won't be before the next election.

Distance: 960 miles (WAY too far!!)

Transportation: Fly Southwest out of Thurgood Marshall Airport (Baltimore-Washington International [BWI]) to McCoy Airfield (Orlando International [MCO]) then on to Pop Century via Magical Express.

Forms of Transportation: Just as listed above.

3. How do you get to WDW? Fly! I'm not a fan of driving much and if we attempted to drive, it would take almost 30 hours straight. So I'll stick with about 6 hours of flying!

We go by plane

3 (car, plane and bus) - we usually drive to the airport, take the plane, change flights in NY or Chicago, hop on the ME - we're "home"! :clappy:
