June 25, 1980 – The 7-minute “Mickey Mouse Disco” cartoon, starring Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, was released.
June 25, 1985 – At about 9 p.m., a Walt Disney World monorail caught fire enroute from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom. Over two hundred passengers were safely evacuated from the elevated tracks by ladders and cherry-picker cranes.
June 25, 1995 - Le Cellier in Canada reopened after a rehab with a new menu.
June 25, 1988 – “Disneyland Salutes Benny Goodman” was performed for the first of an 8-day engagement at the Anaheim park. Guest soloists Peanuts Hucko and Louise Tobin as well as alumni of the Benny Goodman orchestra were featured. (Goodman, who passed away in 1986, could be heard in Disney’s 1946 “Make Mine Music.”)

June 25, 2004 – Disney Channel debuted “Tanner,” the 5th episode of the new series “Phil of the Future.”
June 25, 2005 – Actor John Fiedler, the voice of Piglet in countless Winnie-the-Pooh movies and TV specials, passed away at age 80.
June 25, 2005 – The Disneyland’s Railroad’s newest locomotive No. 5 Ward Kimball officially went into service. It is named for the late Ward Kimball, Disney animator and railroad fan.
June 25, 2005 – Voice actor and character actor John Fiedler, known to Disney fans as the voice of Piglet in countless Winnie the Pooh movies and TV specials, passed away at age 80 in Englewood, N.J. (one day after the death of Paul Winchell). Fiedler’s long list of Disney credits include “The Emperor’s New Groove,” “The Emperor’s New Groove 2: Kronk’s New Groove,” and “The Fox and the Hound.”
