Mickey's Backyard BBQ

My wife and I were just chatting and two questions came up. First when did It open and second what does everyone think? We love Hoop Dee Doo and are thinking about trying it, any feedback would be awesome.:mickey:

We went in 2009 with an 8 and 4 year old. We had such a good time we're doing it again this trip! The food was good, the entertainment was great and the girls LOVED dancing with the characters. We have some great memories from that night.

We did the mickey BBQ twice and we loved it both times. Food was good entertainment was good and characters took their times at the tables and even danced out on the floor with guests. It is relaxed and fun.

Went to Mickey's Backyard BBQ for the first time in April with our 5yo and 2yo, and it was the best character meal we had our entire trip! The boys had a blast dancing to the live music and especially with the characters, and the food was outstanding (good variety for a BBQ and well prepared).

Mickey and Minnie also pose outside the pavilion twice during the event for photos, so that was an added bonus as well.

Where is it? In a park or one of the resorts? Sounds like a great time for me.....and the kids too I guess.

I believe it is at Fort Wilderness, which is where all the campers stay.

We are going in December, isnt it to cold for this? I would hate to spend the money to get there and be miserable.

I don't think it's offered year round, but I'm not positive about that. The area is covered, but open on all sides. And, yes, it's at Ft. Wilderness.
