June 22, 1971 – The Disney film, “Scandalous John,” was released.
June 22, 1976 – Terra McNair, a member of the Disney Channel’s “The All New Mickey Mouse Club,” was born in San Jose, California.
June 22, 1977 – Disney’s 23rd animated feature film “The Rescuers,” featuring the voices of Bon Newhart, Joe Flynn, and Eva Gabor, was released in U.S. theaters.
June 22, 1977 – The Disney Featurette “A Tale of Two Critters” was released.
June 22, 1985 – “Videopolis,” a high-tech night club style outdoor entertainment venue, opened in Disneyland’s Fantasyland.
June 22, 1985 – Actress Lindsay Ridgeway, who portrayed the little girl in the Tower of Terror pre-show, was born in Loma Linda, Ca. (fans of the TV series Boy Meets World know her as Morgan.)
June 22, 1988 – Disney’s “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” was generally released.
June 22, 1990 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Betsy’s Wedding” was released.
June 22, 1997 – Disney’s “Hercules” had its premiere at Cal Arts in Los Angeles, Ca.
June 22, 1998 – “Mickey’s Birthdayland” opened in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
