There is a really bad fire going on in SE Arizona cin a town called Sierra Vista (close to Tombstone). It has caused Hundreds of evacuations and have been over 40 houses lost. The fire is uncontrolled.

We have several friends in the area as well as my kids who live with my ex and my Mother in Law.

If you have the ability to donate either money or supplies check the following list (all addresses are Sierra Vista, AZ 85635)

APACHE MIDDLE SCHOOL SHELTER
Due to the overwhelming generosity of the community, the shelter at Apache Middle School has limited space to store donations. Donations are currently being accepted for the following items:
• Paper towels
• Wash cloths
• Litter boxes for cats
• Litter for litter boxes
• Kleenex
• Toilet paper
• Depends
• Laundry supplies (detergent, bleach, dryer sheets)
• Pet bowls (for food and water supplies)
• Combs
• Paper plates
• Plasticwares (forks, spoons, and knives)
• Quart size bags to pick up dog feces

DONATIONS ARE ALSO BEING ACCEPTED BY THE FOLLOWING:
New Frontier Animal Medical Center, 2045 Paseo San Luis
• Needs towels and small blankets for bedding
Fry Fire District Station 142, 4817 Apache Ave
• Accepting water, sports drinks, non-perishable food items for firefighters
Southeast Arizona Association of Realtors, 125 S. 2nd St.
• Accepting clothing, etc., for fire victims
• Account for fire victims has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank, “Monument Fire Relief Account”
Any Wells Fargo Bank can accept donations
Boy Scout Council, 2367 Fry Blvd, behind Papa Murphy’s Pizza in the Long Realty Bldg.

The 72 Inch Boot laces are in dire need by the fire fighters. The Fire is burning their laces off while they are wearing the boots.

Oh how awful. My heart goes out to all those people and animals. Thank you for the information on donations.

High and sustained winds are keeping this fire from getting under control. This fire has now been going on for a week.
