June 15, 1967 – The private membership restaurant “Club 33” located upstairs in New Orleans Square at Disneyland opened.
June 15, 1978 – Millard Jones, 86 of Lakeland, Fl. Made his 500th visit to WDW.
June 15, 1989 – The Disney Channel aired the MMC episode “Today is Party Day!”
June 15, 1990 – Disney’s “Roller Coaster Rabbit,” featuring the voice of Charles Fleischer as Roger Rabbit, was released.
June 15, 1990 – The Touchstone/Disney film “Dick Tracey” starring Warren Beatty, Al Pacino, and Madonna, was released.
June 15, 1990 – The Disneyland show “Dick Tracy Starring in Diamond Double Cross” opened in Videopolis. (Ended Dec. 31, 1990)
June 15, 1990 – “Patented Pastimes” opened on Main Street USA at Disneyland.
June 15, 1991 – “The Studio Pizzeria” Restaurant opened in Disney-MGM Studios at WDW. (Would later be renamed Mama Melrose’s Restaurant Italiano)
June 15, 1994 – The TV special “The Lion King: A Musical Journey With Elton John” was shown on ABC, the same day that the animated motion picture “The Lion King” premiered in the U.S.
June 15, 1998 – The Walt Disney World Resort was awarded the 1998 Self Help for Hard of Hearing People, Inc.
