Just received my Disney Files today and saw the new logo... Not sure what I think of it... It is simplistic.. It's not over bearing... It's not bad... Not great, but not bad... I'll rank is average and just OK... Your opinions???

I always thought the old logo was kind of feminine and limited merchandise possibilities and sales. I think the new logo while not the greatest opens new possibilities for merchandise.

I like the new one much better.

I'm not totally sold on the new logo... and it will be interesting to see if how they'll make line art out of it (but in this day and age, I'm not sure that's even necessary).

Also interesting is that they're moving away from the FL imagery to a world-wide focus. But we knew that already, didn't we?

Having purchased from the Door Way to Dreams store in Woodfield Mall and visiting there on a somewhat regular basis, I must say that the new logo is not a big change for me. Since the DWTD stores have been using a similar logo since it opened. Overall I think its a decent logo.

So they are actually going with this as the new logo? It's suddenly all over the busses at WDW.

The DVC member website still carries the "old" logo throughout the site - the oval with the mountains, palm trees and Mickey head.

It figures that now that I've accumulated a pricy variety of DCL shirts, hats and other stuff they go and change the logo.

This is the logo, with the 2 or without?

At the bottom of Jim Lewis' article in Disney Files, it's that logo, minus the "2" but with the words "Disney Vacation Club" to the right of the globe - - "Disney" in the familiar Disney font, and "Vacation Club" in a plain font underneath.

(If my scanner was working, I could post it... but it's not cooperating.)

I think they wanted a new logo that more reflected a broader presence they're developing with Hawaii, and Disneyland, etc. My guess is, too, that they'll be going global at some point (Tokyo? Paris? Hong Kong?), so they like the global look and feel the new logo gives.

Thats how DVC has been sold at The Doorway to Dreams store. They market the product of not being just a WDW or DL vacation but a way to use your points to see othere travel destinations as well. Its a nice blend of marketing.

If a mod wants to provide an image for everyone to see...

I never really thought much about the logo. This is more appealing in my mind. I don't see myself running out to get logo t-shirts and such with this image on it, but if Disney wants to send me some swag, I'd wear this over the old one.

Thanks Rox! This is like what is appearing in the ads around the resort.

Now that I looked at the logo a few more times, I rather like it...

I like the new logo, too, FWIW.

I guess it needs to grown on me still, but i thought it was kind of blah.

This version appears to be the "official" logo; it now appears on the DVC member website.

I thought the old logo was cute but busy. I like this one, except it does seem a little "Disney generic." Maybe that's the point.

I agree the old one was too busy. I like the new logo as well, simple yet effective.
