May 17, 1962 – Disney’s live action feature film “Bon Voyage”, was released.
May 17, 1964 - Disney’s Wonderful World of Color TV show aired the episode “Disneyland Goes To The World Fair”.
May 17, 1986 – The CircleVision 360 film, “American Journey’s”, debuted at Tokyo Disneyland. (Closed Aug. 31, 1992)
May 17, 1987 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired the movie “Spot Marks the X.”
May 17, 1989 – The Disney Channel’s TV series “Just Like Family,” starring Cindy Williams, Bill Hudson, Gabriel, Damon and Grace Johnston, aired for the 1st time.
May 17, 1989 – The Disney Channel aired episode 18 of MMC. “Today is Anything Can Happen Day!”
May 17, 1991 - Dixie Landings Resort and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort opened at WDW.
May 17, 1991 – The “Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory” opened at Port Orleans Resort at WDW.
May 17, 1991 – The Disney/Touchstone film “What About Bob?,” starring Bill Murray, Richard Dreyfuss, Julie Hagerty, and Charlie Korsmo, was released.
May 17, 1991 – The souvenir shop “Jackson Square Gifts and Desires,” along with “Bonfamille’s Café” opened in the Port Orleans Resort at WDW.
