May 3, 1973 – Original WDW dapper Dan, Jerry Siggins put in his last day of work with the singing group. He would go on to California to finish his studies at California State and later sing with the Dapper Dans of Disneyland.
May 3, 1983 – The Disney TV show “Mickey and Donald Kidding Around” was released.
May 3, 1987 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired the 1964 Disney feature “Mary Poppins,” starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke.
May 3, 1989 – The Disney Channel aired episode 8 of MMC “Today is Anything Can Happen Day!”
May 3, 1991 – The Disney/Hollywood Pictures film “One Good Cop” was released.
May 3, 1992 – Disney’s 2-hour TV movie “Day-o” aired on NBC.
May 3, 1994 – Disney announced plans to create a cruise line.
May 3, 1996 – The TV comedy series Step by Step aired part-1 of “We’re Going to Disney World.” (Part-2 aired May 10, 1996)
May 3, 1996 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Last Dance” was released.
May 3, 1997 – The “Ariel’s” Seafood Restaurant closed at the Beach Club Resort at WDW.
