If we arrive at AK around 2pm on Tuesday May 10 will we be able to get a FP for the Kilimanjaro Safari ride and if so about what time would u expect it to be for?

Thanks a lot.

In my experience the safari is best first thing in the morning. We have seen the most animals when that is the first thing we do when we get to AK.

As for FastPasses, I do know they go fast as well.

Happy early birthday!!!

Crowd forecast is green for that day. I'd say you have a good chance of getting a fastpass for that day.

Best to arrive at opening instead. You can get a FP then go on the safari. Once off you can ride it again. The animals seek cover once the temps start going up.

You'd be cutting the fastpass close. Normally they go quick, I wouldn't be suprised if they were gone by 2pm. The park closes at 6pm, so that's really iffy...

We were there in Feb and there was still FP's available at 3pm.

Not sure if this will help but since the park closes at 6PM, the last safari is most likely to be at 5:45. The lines are fairly short that late in the day but you probably won't see many animals. They typically "head to the barn" before the last safaris go by.

I agree with the posts to go early in the morning. The animals are more active and you will see a lot more.

I have to agree with PP. The safari is far better in the morning and I think AK overall is better in the morning. Just a suggestion. :mickey:

We are going to BB in the morning and should be arriving at AK around 2pm

You have only a 50/50 chance. FPs are often gone around that time.

How about getting FPs for Kali, EE, and Dinosaur arriving at AK at 2pm?

I wouldn't count on it. AK usually has short operating hours, and as such there is just less time for FP.

Everest has a single rider line, so if you can't get FP, you can ride more quickly in the single rider line (if you don't mind being split up).

When we've been in May, Dinosaur wasn't too bad for wait time, but Kali was CRAZY!!

I am considering that change
How busy will BB be on a hot may day in terms of wait times?

We would probably do AK from 9-12:30 and BB from 1-5.

Thoughts?

AK in the morning would be best but you may have trouble getting to DTD in 1/2 hour. AK and DTD are practically on opposite ends of WDW property.

Although I definitely agree with this quote, but it has happened to us, we got a fast pass and went back early afternoon and we saw quite a bit of movement and activity in the animals. I think we were just lucky that day.

We got our fast passes around 11 and went back at 2:15. This was the middle of August and really a busy time. the park was packed. Good luck!

It will be crowded but manageable. We have been to BB in Late May early June and even though it was crowded, we still had a great time. A weekday will be less crowded than Saturday or Sunday.

Lol. I just finished arrangements for my 40th Birthday trip to Food & Wine in October.

Never thought I'd be spending the big 4-0 in Disney, but I'm looking forward to it !

According to a certain website that specializes in disney wait time stats, on May 10 at 2pm the predicted fast pass return time is 2:45 pm

Animals are also said to be active at the end of the day not just first thing in the am.
