Can you leave a park and return to the same park without the park hopper option?

Yes, you can leave and return to the same park on the same day as many times as you want. You only need the hopper to go to a different park on the same day.

They don't use the hand stamps anymore. You just re-enter your ticket in the machine.:mickey:

They did away with the hand stamps in 2005.
