My family and I go to WDW about every other year. On last summer's vacation I mentioned to my wife that I thought it would be fun for my son (4) and I to go by ourselves. She surprised us for xmas with a week vacation in september. She said she didn't mind not going this year becasue my daughter would be in the terrible two's and would probably be a handfull, plus I would have to make it up to her on our 2012 trip. Just made my ADR's and thought I would share my story with all of you.

When we take a family vacation to WDW, i always make time to do something individually with my 2 sons. Those are some of the best moments of the trip for me. But my wife volunteering to stay at home? :jaw: Maybe on a trip to Colorado. But WDW? No way.

I would agree - your wife does :rocker: ! I'm sure you and your son will have an amazing time. I take it you've already made some special dining plans?

Now you need to start thinking about what you can do for her on your trip in 2012! :D

My DH said he'd like to take DD for her 10th Birthday anywhere in the U.S. for a present. She wants to go to WDW, just the two of them. I admit, I will be a little blue those few days. But I know it's a great time for the two of them and we will ALL be going together in November as a family! It's great when daddys want to spend one on one time with their kids. Our son has already decided next year when he turns 10, he wants to go to Disneyland! Enjoy your time, it will be great!:mickey:
