Mar. 19, 1958 – The Disneyland TV Show featured “Magic and Music,” the shows 100th episode.
Mar. 19, 1959 – Disney, Oklahoma (“The Island City”) was officially incorporated. The town was named for former Oklahoma Legislator Wesley E. Disney.
Mar. 19, 1959 – Disney’s 16-minute featurette “Nature’s Strangest Creatures” was released.
Mar. 19, 1959 – The Disney People and Places Featurette “Cruise of the Eagle” was released.
Mar. 19, 1959 – The Disney film “The Shaggy Dog” was released.
Mar. 19, 1961 – The Disney TV show “Daniel Boone: [IV.] The Promised Land” aired.
Mar. 19, 1965 – Actor Billy “Pop” Attmore, a member of the 1977-1978 TV show “The New Mousekeeters”, was born.
Mar. 19, 1972 – The Disney TV show aired “Chango, Guardian of the Mayan Treasure.”
Mar. 19, 1988 – The Disney Channel Premiere film “Save the Dog,” aired.
Mar. 19, 1995 – The “Penny Arcade,” the “Main Street Bookstore,” and the “House of Magic” (all located on Main Street U.S.A. in WDW) closed. The space would become part of the Main Street Athletic Company.
