This year we're renting a car and I was wondering if you were able to just go from resort to resort to take a look around.

Sure can! Just tell the guard you're visiting the resort and you should be provided with a 3-hour parking pass.

We love doing this. We'll usually make ADRs at a few resorts, but go around and explore others as well. We love going to Ohanas and then taking the monorail over to GF and CR.

We love visiting the different resorts. The Wilderness Lodge is a favorite. I fell asleep sitting in one of the comfy chairs in the lobby, which is spectacular.
We've also enjoyed visiting the Polynesian, Port Orleans French Quarter, the Grand Floridian, and the Boardwalk.
We want to check out Coronado Springs in September.
One of the perks of having a Disney Vacation Club membership is being able to pool hop. Two of our favorites are the one at the Boardwalk Inn and the leisure pool in the Springs Section at Saratoga Springs Resort. They both have bars and there have never been more than a hanful of people at SSR.

Absolutely! That's a fun day in itself. Especially during the Christmas holidays when everything is all decorated.

Yes, you can visit the other resorts. Just tell the security officer at the resort what you are doing.

We visited several on our trip last year to check out the Christmas decorations.

be careful...some of them are so cool that you may end up spending way too much time! ha
