Mar. 10, 1974 – Disney’s part-1 of its 3-part TV movie “Diamonds on Wheels” aired. (Part-2 aired Mar. 17, and part-3 aired Mar. 24, 1974)
Mar. 10, 1978 – The Disney film “Return from Witch Mountain” was released.
Mar. 10, 1985 – Today was General Electric’s last day as corporate sponsor of WDW’s Carousel of Progress. (GE’s association with the attraction goes all the way back to the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair.)
Mar. 10, 1989 – The Disney film “New York Stories” consisting of three short stories “Life Lessons,” Life Without Zoe,” and “Oedipus Wreck,” were released.
Mar. 10, 1992 – Actress Emily Osmont, Lilly Truscott on Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana,” was born in Los Angeles, Ca.
Mar. 10, 1996 – The “Fulton’s Crab House” Restaurant opened on the former Empress Lilly Riverboat at Pleasure Island in WDW.
Mar. 10, 2000 – The Disney/Touchstone Picture Film “Mission to Mars” was released.
Mar. 10, 2000 – The Disney film “Whispers: an Elephant’s Tale” was released in Denver, Co. (Released in New York Oct. 13, 2000)
Mar. 10, 2001 – Disney’s animated series House of Mouse aired the episode “Goofy’s Valentine Date,” and episode 8 of “Jiminy Cricket.”
Mar. 10, 2001 – In celebration of the opening of Disney’s California Adventure, Disney presents the “Artist Choice” Pin of the Month Program with the “Tattoo Surf” pin. On the 2nd Saturday of each month, (Excluding Feb) a different pin would be released from the series.
