Mar. 9. 1994 – The Disney/Touchstone film “The Ref” had its initial release in Los Angeles and New York. (General release was Mar. 11, 1994)
Mar. 9, 1994 – The Disney TV series “These Friends of Mine” debuted on ABC. (Ended July 29, 1998)
Mar. 9, 1994 – The Disney TV series “Ellen” starring Ellen DeGeneres debuted.
Mar. 9, 1995 – The Disney TV series “Thunder Alley” began airing on ABC. (Ended July 25, 1995)
Mar. 9, 1996 – The Disney TV Special “Disney’s Champions on Ice,” starring Scott Hamilton, Nicole Bobeck, Surya Bonaly, Ekaterina Gordeeva, Sergei Grinkov, and Elvis Stojko, aired on ABC.
Mar. 9, 1997 – Walt Disney Records hosted an exclusive event for NARM (National Association of Recording Merchandise) ’97 Convention attendees in WDW’s Tomorrowland.
Mar. 9, 2000 - The 5th ESPN Zone opened in Washington, DC.
Mar. 9, 2001 – “The Luck of the Irish”, a Disney Channel original movie aired on TV.
Mar. 9, 2004 – Disney’s feature length film, “Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo” was released on video and DVD.
Mar. 9, 2005 – It was reported that the Hong Kong Disneyland theme park (set to open in Sept. 2005) has already booked 10,000 room reservations for its hotel since it opened a customer call center 3 weeks ago.
