Feb. 20, 1972 – The Disney TV show aired “The City Fox.”
Feb. 20, 1977 – The Disney TV show aired “Go West, Young Dog.”
Feb. 20, 1982 – The Disney TV show aired “Beyond Witch Mountain.”
Feb. 20, 1985 – Clarence Nash, the voice of Donald Duck, died of Leukemia at the age of 80 in California.
Feb. 20, 1986 – WED Enterprises was renamed Walt Disney Imagineering. (The term “Imagineering” is a portmanteau word that combines “imagination” and “engineering.” The term was coined by Richard F. Sailer in an in-house article written for the National Carbon Company Management Magazine and reprinted by the Union Carbide Company.)
Feb. 20, 1991 – The 33rd Grammy Awards were held at Radio City Music Hall. Best Recording for Children went to “The Little Mermaid” – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken.
Feb. 20, 1995 – AT&T and the Walt Disney Co. announced what would be Disneyland’s newest thrill ride, Indiana Jones Adventure”.
Feb. 20, 1996 – The ABC-TV sitcom Roseanne aired part-1 of a Disney themed episode titled “We’re Going to Disney World.”
Feb. 20, 1998 – Downtown Disney Pleasure Island hosted the 5-day event “Mardi Gras” celebration.
Feb. 20, 1999 - “The Gap Band” made its debut at West End Stage in Downtown Disney Pleasure Island.
