Feb. 19, 1985 – Mickey Mouse was welcomed in China as part of the 30th anniversary of Disneyland.
Feb. 19, 1987 – Paul Terry, the voice of James in the 1996 Disney film, “James and the Giant Peach” was born.
Feb. 19, 2000 – Episode 10 of “Mickey Mouse Works” aired on ABC-TV. The program features the shorts “Goody’s Radio,” “Car Washers,” (with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy), and “Pluto’s Seal Deal.”
Feb. 19, 2001 - Web Site Construction Zone; Future Cars; and Look into the Future closed at Innoventions East: Road to Tomorrow.
Feb. 19, 2002 – The annual meeting of shareholders of the Walt Disney Co. was held at the Hartford Civic Center in Connecticut at 10:00 a.m.
Feb. 19, 2007 – Engineers Week, an event to raise public awareness of engineers’ positive contributions to our quality of life and the importance of math, science, and technical literacy, began at Epcot’s Innoventions West on this Presidents Day.
Feb. 19, 2007 – The “Disney’s Honeymoon Registry” became available to newlyweds at the WDW Resort.
Feb. 19, 2010 – Disney’s Animal Kingdom welcomed its newest member when a baby gorilla was born to first-time mother Kashata. The new baby is unnamed at this time and is the 3rd gorilla born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Feb. 19, 2010 – Disneyland announced the Michael Jackson’s 3D film “Captain Eo” would return to the park on Tuesday, Feb. 23rd.
Feb. 19, 2010 – Walt Disney Pictures and Buena Vista Records joined forces with Hot Topic, KIIS-FM, MySpace and musical artists from the upcoming album “Almost Alice” for an ultimate fan event celebrating this Springs most anticipated 3D feature “Alice in Wonderland.” The star studded concert event took place at the Hollywood & Highland Center’s Central Courtyard; featuring 5 musical acts, a visit from director Tim Burton, and an appearance by the film’s star Johnny Depp.
