Feb. 17, 1977 – Actress & writer Erin Cardillo was born in White Plains, N.Y. Disney Channel fans know her as Emma Tutweiller on the series “The Suite Life on Deck.”
Feb. 17, 1981 - Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the voice of Jim Hawkins in Disney’s 2002 film “Treasure Planet” was born in Los Angeles, Ca.
Feb. 17, 1983 - Disney’s “Tron” was nominated for 2 Academy Awards.
Feb. 17, 1992 – Singer/actress Meaghan Jette Martin was born in Las Vegas, Nv. She is best known for her role as Tess Tyler in the Disney Channel original movie “Camp Rock” and has made guest appearances on “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.”
Feb. 17, 1993 - Disney’s “Aladdin” was nominated for 5 Academy Awards.
Feb. 17, 1995 – The Disney film “Heavyweights” was released.
Feb. 17, 1998 – Construction began on Rock’n’RollerCoaster” in Disney-MGM Studios at WDW.
Feb. 17, 2001 - John Elliot Sutherland, who was the voice of Bambi in the 1942 Disney classic film, died at the age of 90 in Van Nuys, Ca.

Feb. 17, 2002 – The Studio Chapter of the NFFC, The Club for Disney Enthusiasts hosts Disney singer-songwriter Bob Moline at the AutryMuseum of Western Heritage in Griffith Park, Ca. Moline’s work includes such Epcot songs as “Listen to the Land,” “Canada,” and “Golden Dream.”
