After hearing/reading about the painting of Mr. Toad handing Owl the deed/title to the ride, I had been searching for this "hidden magic" on the Pooh ride for two trips.

During my January trip, I finally laid eyes on it. On the left hand side of the third room (just as you enter the "breaking" room) there is a picture/portrait of Mr. Toad handing the deed to the ride to Owl. :yay:

I try to "look-up" some hidden magic that I've read about on INTERCOT on every trip. I feel successful about my find. Only 10,000 more hidden tips to go.;)

(By the way, I also tried to open a crate [with handles] in the dino-dig at Animal Kingdom & got a hidden surprise. Try it!)

Did you know Mr. Toad is dead? :medic: You can see his grave outside the Haunted Mansion.

I actually got the tribute in the Pooh ride on video this last time. It's well lit so it shows up easily...

The epitaph on the Mr. Toad tombstone reads " Here lies Toad, so sad but true. He wasn't as marketable as Winnie the Pooh"
That's hilarious.

Is that for real? Where is that tombstone - is it with the others before the ride (here lies dear departed Dave...)?

It's in the pet cemetary at the exit. Toad is at the top of the hill on the left. Hard to see because it is very shady in that area. There are photos on the net.:mickey:

I saw the portrait the first time I rode the ride and I had asked my mom about it. When I went to DL in 2005, I actually understood why Mr. Toad was in the ride, giving the deed to the area over to Owl. I like seeing that area of the ride every time I go on it (which is a lot because my mom loves Winnie the Pooh).

It's so great to see the little tributes like this that the Imagineers put in! We bought the Hidden Mickeys book this time for the kids and they really had a blast looking for them.

Have any of you noticed the game on the floor behind the family watching the lunar landing in Spaceship Earth? I wonder what the "Boss" (Not Springsteen, the Mouse) would think of that? :mickey:
