POFQ Refurb Status?

Does anyone know how far along they are? We are arriving in about 2 weeks and would prefer a refurbished room for the bigger beds. Thanks.

I just got back from French Quarter. Buildings 7, 6, and 4 are completed, and 5 is almost done (should be done by the time you arrive).

You could try asking at check-in if you are not assigned one of those buildings.

Thanks. I will try to request when I do the online check-in. We are only there 1 night so either way is OK.

Here's some other things going on at POFQ.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
Feb. 6 – March 4, 2011: Building 1 roof recovering.
Feb. 13 – March 8, 2011: Bridge Stonework refinishing and repainting.
Feb. 27 – March 25, 2011: Building 2 roof recovering.
Mar. 20 – April 15, 2011: Building 3 roof recovering.

We just got back from there last week. I had requested a refurbed room originally. When we checked in we were assigned to building 3 (not redone yet) even after online checkin. I asked again if anything was available in a refurbed room and they immediately moved us to building 4 which was AWESOME aside from the scent of new construction if that kind of thing bothers you.
