I've been debating whether or not to buy this on Blu-Ray since it originally released.
Has anyone watched it?
Is it pretty much a compilation of all the specials they air on Travel Channel or completely different?

It is exactly the specials that aired on Travel Channel (except for one that, I think, aired on Discovery, but I could be wrong on that). Nothing different. We enjoy having them, though.

They have these on Netflix for instant streaming. Even though I had seen them already it was nice to watch them again.
