Feb. 7, 1958 – Disney’s first animated feature “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was released in theaters for the 4th time, with new opening and ending credits replacing the RKO Radio Picture logo.
Feb. 7, 1971 – Disney’s part-1 of the 2-part TV Movie “Bayou Boy” aired. (Part-2 aired Feb. 14, 1971)
Feb. 7, 1988 – Disney’s 2-hour TV movie “Rock’n’Roll Mom” aired.
Feb. 7, 1992 – The Disney/Hollywood Pictures film “Medicine Man” was released.
Feb. 7, 1997 – The “Richard Petty Driving Experience” opened at the Walt Disney World Speedway.
Feb. 7, 2001 – Walt Disney Co. president Bob Iger presented Whoopi Goldberg a statue of Calafia, her character in the Golden Dreams attraction at Disney’s California Adventure.
Feb. 7, 2001 – Disney’s California Adventure had a “Paradise Pier Party” on this night before the official opening the next day. Some of the guests that attended included Roy E. Disney, Drew Carey, Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney, Jack Nicholson, John Stamos, Melissa Joan Hart, David Hasselhoff, Laurie Metcalf, and the musical group The Beach Boys.
Feb. 7, 2003 – A memorial tribute to Disney Imagineer David Mumford was held in Ca. (The talented 46-year old Imagineer, historian, and author had passed away Jan. 20th) As a senior principal show set designer at Walt Disney Imagineering, David oversaw the production of working set drawings for Disney theme park attractions (such as Journey into Imagination with Figment attraction at Epcot.)
Feb. 7, 2003 – The Lizzie McGuire episode “Bye, Bye Hillridge Junior High” and the That’s so Raven episode “Campaign in the Neck” both aired for the first time on the Disney Channel.
Feb. 7, 2003 – The Disney/Touchstone/Spyglass Entertainment film “Shanghai Knights” was released.
