Feb. 4, 1966 – The Disney film “The Ugly Dachshund” was released.
Feb. 4, 1968 – The Disney TV show aired part 2 of the movie “Pablo and the Dancing Chihuahua.”
Feb. 4, 1974 – Stuart Buchanan, the voice of Humbert the Huntsman in the 1937 animated film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” passed away in Cleveland, Oh.
Feb. 4, 1979 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired part-2 of “Shadow of Fear.”
Feb. 4, 1984 – “Back Stage Magic” opened in CommuniCore East replacing Astuter Computer Revue. (Closed Oct. 1, 1993)
Feb. 4, 1987 – A groundbreaking ceremony took place for the construction of Typhoon Lagoon at WDW.
Feb. 4, 1990 – Disney’s TV special “Disneyland’s 35th Anniversary Celebration” aired.
Feb. 4, 1994 – The Disney/Touchstone film “My Father the Hero” was released.
Feb. 4, 1999 – Pixar Animation Studios announced that it has developed a proprietary laser recording system called PIXARVISION for converting digital computer data into images on motion picture film stock with unprecedented quality. The new system was successfully tested on the 1998 animated hit, “A Bug’s Life,” and would be used to produce Pixar’s future animated features including “Toy Story 2.”
Feb. 4, 2000 – The Disney/Hollywood Picture film “Gun Shy” was released in theaters.
