Feb. 3, 1967 – The article “Disney World Amusement Center with Domed City for Florida” appeared in the New York Times the day after Walt Disney Productions announced plans to build the world’s first glass-dome city.
Feb. 3, 1969 - Cartoonist Al Taliaferro, the 1st artist of Donald Duck, died in Glendale, Ca.
Feb. 3, 1974 – The Disney TV movie “Carlo, the Sierra Coyote” aired.
Feb. 3, 1978 – Actress, songstress, and oral historian Eliza Schneider was born. Her Disney credits included “Finding Nemo,” “Kingdom Hearts II,” and the video game “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” (as the voice of Elizabeth Swann.)
Feb. 3, 1978 – Actor Adrian R’Mante, best known for his role as Esteban Julio Richardo Montoya De La Ramirez on the Disney Channel show “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” was born in Tampa, Fl.
Feb. 3, 1982 – Actress Ashley Brown was born in Gulf Breeze, Fl. (near Pensacola). Her Disney credits include the live stage shows “On the Record” as (Kristen), “Beauty and the Beast” as (Belle), and “Mary Poppins” (as Mary Poppins).
Feb. 3, 1985 – The Disney Channel Premiere TV movie “Lots of Luck” aired.
Feb. 3, 1989 – Disney issued new $1 and $5 Disney Dollars at Disneyland and WDW. The $1bill depicts Mickey Mouse on one side, and Sleeping Beauty Castle on the other. The $5 bill features Goofy on oneside, and EPCOT Center’s Spaceship Earth & the Empress Lily Riverboat on the other.
Feb. 3, 1989 – Actor Ryne Sanborn, known to fans of “High School Musical” as Jason Cross, was born in Salt Lake City, Ut.
Feb. 3, 1993 – Disney’s 2-part TV special “The Best of Disney Music: A Legacy in Song” aired on CBS. (Part-2 aired Feb. 21, 1983)
Feb. 3, 1993 – The Disney film “The Cemetery Club” had its premiere. (General release was Feb. 12, 1993)
