Feb. 1, 1970 – Disney’s part-1 of its 2-part TV movie “Smoke” aired. (Part-2 aired Feb. 8, 1970)
Feb. 1, 1973 – The Disney film “The World’s Greatest Athlete” was released.
Feb. 1, 1977 – The Disney serial “The Mystery of Rustler’s Cave” began Airing on The Mickey Mouse Club. (Ended Mar. 1, 1977)
Feb. 1, 1984 - Actor Lee Thompson Young, the star of “The Famous Jett Jackson” was born in Columbia, S.C.
Feb. 1, 1987 – Disney’s 2-hour TV movie “You Ruined My Life” aired.
Feb. 1, 1989 – The “Hollywood Pictures” Division of The Walt Disney Co. began operations.
Feb. 1, 1991 – The Disney Hollywood Pictures film “Run” was released.
Feb. 1, 1991 – Drummer, sound effects man and the second voice of Mickey Mouse, James Macdonald passed away at age 84 in Glendale, Ca.
Feb. 1, 1994 – The “Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort” R&R Hotel was leased by the U.S. Government for military personnel. (Purchased by the U.S. Government Jan. 12, 1996)
Feb. 1, 1996 - The “Dapper Dans” had a reunion at Disneyland.
