Crowd Advice

Hi Everyone,

I may have been to WDW more times than I can keep track of anymore, but I've only been to Disneyland once.

My husband and I may take a trip for a few days sometime from May through July to CA. I know the parks will be crowded. Is May or June any better than July? Is the week of July 4th a nightmare? We would only do weekdays and stay away from the parks on weekends. We don't have kids and consider ourselves experienced theme park strategists. We've braved WDW during July and August and do well with a plan of attack. I'm just trying to gauge what to expect during this time frame in Disneyland.

Any help/advice/war stories are MUCH appreciated!

I have been at the busiest times of year, on weekends, and think the parks are manageable as long as you get there early, get everything in that you want to get in in the first few hours, and use the Fastpasses. Honestly, I've never felt that I wasn't able to do everything that I wanted to do, and with the use of fastpasses and single rider lines don't think I've ever stood in a line for more than fifteen minutes even on a weekend in July.

Thanks so much, NewDVCowner! That's super helpful! Your advice sounds similar to what we've done in WDW during the busy times. I'm so glad that a similar approach seems to be very successful at Disneyland. You've given us the confidence to forge ahead with some good tips! :)
