Jan. 24, 1987 – Disney’s 2-hour TV movie “Double Switch” aired.
Jan. 24, 1992 – The Disney/Hollywood Pictures film “Blame It on the Bellboy” had its premiere in London, England. (U.S. release was Mar. 6, 1992)
Jan. 24, 1993 – The “Mickey’s House” and “Minnie’s House” attractions opened in Mickey’s Toontown in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
Jan. 24, 1993 - Mickey’s Toontown opened in Disneyland, along with the attractions “Gadgets Go Coaster,” “Miss Daisy.”
Jan. 24, 1993 – The “Acorn Ball Crawl” attraction opened in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland.
Jan. 24, 1993 – The “Goofy’s Bounce House” attraction opened in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland.
Jan. 24, 1993 – The “Gag Factory/Five and Dime” Shop opened in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland.
Jan. 24, 1993 – The “Jolly Trolley” attraction opened in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland.
Jan. 24, 1993 – The “Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Treehouse” attraction opened in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland.
Jan. 24, 1993 – The 50th Golden Globe Awards, honoring the best in film and television for 1992 were presented. Disney’s “Aladdin” won for Best Original Score (Alan Menken) and Best Original Song (“A Whole New World.”)
