At what time should I make my reservation at the Rose and Crown if I want to watch Illuminations from there?

How is the view from there?

If Illuminations is showing at 9 pm, I get reservations around 7 pm. There's usually a wait to get seated so we just grab a beer from the kiosk and sit on the patio while we wait. In the past three times I've gone, I've always gotten a great table outside on the patio. But that's been just luck b/c you are seated at the first available table that comes up so the CM's can't really honor requests for patio seating. (Never hurts to ask nicely, though.)
If you happen to be seated inside, don't worry about missing out on the view. They will hold your food and lead you outside to a viewing area for Illuminations.
I think the view is wonderful from the Rose & Crown, and it's my favorite place to be during the show!
