Disney world on Google earth is amazing! DH has spent an embarrassing amount of time looking at it today. A lot of the details are modeled out now and it helps satisfy that disney longing.

That's a great hidden mickey!

For those that had a little trouble finding him (like me), you can just go to google maps and plug in the coordinates: 28.452038,-81.703026

Enjoy!

There's another one west of Trout Lake & north of Dixie Lake. It looks like a small lake.:mickey:

I am glad that someone else spends crazy time looking at WDW on Google Earth! I also enjoy looking at all the other Disney parks around the world:thumbsup:

Oh yeah, even our 3 yr old is addicted. He's always asking to "check out the world."

I love that you can see the behind the scenes areas and get a real feel for how everything is laid out. Like just beyond the trees in Jungle Cruise there's a backstage area that looks very industrial. Everything is so well hidden when you are there in person.

This was my thought! I love to pass slow parts of the day by looking at google maps, but am astonished at how close you are to things at times. (like when I noticed when staying at the 80s/90s area of Pop you can see the "welcome to wdw" sign) Also, I noticed just yesterday that one time I took a wrong turn and ended up in a Fire/Emergency station or call center. Didn't know I was just a few hundred yards from the WS!

Small world...lol

yeah...google earth is super cool for those areas like WDW where the you get the 3-D effect and the super high resolutions.

Love it here too! Recently I've been spending a lot of time looking at MK and the work going on in Fantasyland! Very cool to see.

I just wish I could pull the little guy on the side down and walk through the parks.

Just been flying around World Showcase and stopped at Italy. Was surprised to see that Via Napoli was missing. I was looking forward to one of their pizzas this December.

DH does this all the time. He likes to look at the behind scenes things and how big the parks actually are. When I think he is working, I will go into his office and he is looking at WDW on Google Earth. LOL
