Is it true that on site guests can reserve dining one week before the 180 day schedule ?
I read that somewhere and wanted to know if anyone had ever heard about it .

You can reserve with the 180+10.

What this means is that when your first day is at the 180 day mark, you can then make reservations for up to ten additional days at that point.

You can get up to a 10 day jump on others, but the extension is only as big as the number of nights you are staying on property.

If you have 3 nights booked you will get a 183 day window. If you have 7 nights reserved you will get a 187 booking window. If you have 10 nights reserved you will get a 190 day window. If you have 14 nights reserved you will still only get a 190 window as the limit is 10 nights.

I don't understand, they give me a date that is 180 days from my check-in. Why wouldn't they give me the +# of days when I make the reservation?

The baseline date for the 180 + 10 ADR reservation policy is 180 days from check-in.

At a point 180 days prior to your date of check-in, you can book ADRs for that day and the remaining days of your stay, up to a maximum of 10 days.

You cannot book ADRs at 190 days from your date of check-in (if you are staying 10 days,) but you can book up to that 10th day of your stay at the 180 day mark from your date of check-in.

It's still 180 days from the date you check-in, but rather than call back every day to make dining reservations, they let you make it for your whole stay (up to 10 days) from the 180 day mark of your check-in date. Otherwise, you'd have to call every day for a week (or however long your going) to make reservations which of course is very inconvenient. I believe this is for guests staying on site only.

Yes the 180+10 is only for guests staying on site. If you were going down for a week and staying OFF site you would have to call each day to make the reservations you wanted.
