Jan. 17, 1976 - Disney’s Publicity Department sponsored a 2 day Mouseketeer Reunion at Disneyland.
Jan. 17, 1977 - The first “New Mickey Mouse Club” episode aired on KTTV in Los Angeles, Ca. (Ended Dec. 1, 1978)
Jan. 17, 1985 – The 3D film “Magic Journeys” opened in Tomorrowland at Tokyo Disneyland.
Jan. 17, 1988 – Disney’s part-1 of its 2-part TV movie “Earth*Star Voyager” aired. (Part-2 aired Jan. 24, 1988)
Jan. 17, 1993 – The Disney Channel premiere film “The Ernest Green Story” was released.
Jan. 17, 1994 - The “Timekeeper” opened in Tomorrowland at WDW replacing “Circle Vision 360”.
Jan. 17, 1997 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Metro” was released.
Jan. 17, 1997 – The Dept. of Justice and the Walt Disney Co. signed an agreement under the Americans with Disabilities Act to ensure services to people who are deaf or hard of hearing at WDW attractions.
Jan. 17, 1999 – Disney’s half-hour comedy TV series “Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane” debuted on the WB Network.
Jan. 17, 1999 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired “Selma, Lord, Selma.”
