Hi,
My situation is this: I purchased 4 day park hopper tickets from a reputable service planning on renting DVC points. Now we are thinking about staying at a value or mod resort. Can we book a room only then add the tickets when we arrive to be able to take advantage of extra magic hours? Or can we purchase a base Magic Your Way ticket(to be eligible to do EMH and get dining plan) and add the 4 day passes?
Thanks in Advance,
Mary Ellen

You don't need to add anything in order to take advantage of EMH's. That is available to all Disney Resorts guests regardless of if you purchased your tickets direct from Disney or from another Ticket Broker.

You would need be a AP passholder or book a package with your room in order to qualify for adding Disney Dining. Usually it is only a one day minimum ticket...but you can't add your existing tickets to your "package".

Hope this answers your questions.

Thanks, how do you get into the parks for am EMH, do you just use your ticket and then show your resort id or KTW card?

Your Key To The World card is your resort ID card. For EMH access, you show your KTTW card ... makes no difference whether your tickets are coded on there or not.

And just as an added note ... if you end up booking a package and thus end up buying tickets in addition to your existing tickets, you CAN'T have them combined into one ticket card. Tickets can't be combined ... you wouldn't be able to have your 4-day ticket coded onto your KTTW card if you also have a 1-day ticket coded onto that KTTW card.

HOWEVER ...
If you stay with the room-only reservation, that means that at check-in your KTTW card will NOT have park tickets coded onto it. After checking-in, you can go to your resort's Lobby Concierge desk and have your existing 4-day ticket coded onto your KTTW card.

Thanks!! Would you be able to add the dining plan at that time too or must that be made in advance?

Would you be able to add the dining plan at that time too or must that be made in advance? The dining plan needs to be ordered in advance. :mickey:

If you are going to add the one day ticket in order to add the DDP, you can add them up to three days prior to your arrive date. We added tickets and DDP on our Dec trip (about 5 days before we left) and that is what I was told. You of course will have to pay for everything prior to arrival (resort, tickets, DDP) if you make the switch from room only reservations to package. A package would normally need to be paid in full 45 days prior to arrive date. Where as room only reservations do not need to be paid in full until you arrive at the resort to check in. Hope that helps.
