My Dh has a coworker who was trying to tell him about some TRex restaurant with an ice cave that she ate at in WDW. Even showed him pictures. Does anyone have a clue where this is?

It's at Downtown Disney near Fulton's. I think it opened in 2008 or 2009

Yep, Downtown Disney it is. We ate here last year & really enjoyed it. Although we've never eaten at Rainforest Cafe, I understand their menus are very similar. :mickey:

It's at Downtown Disney Marketplace by the LEGO store.

It's basically the Rainforest Cafe menu with different names. We ate there this past Thanksgiving weekend. There is a big "ice" cave in the middle of the restaurant that you can be seated in. We weren't seated in it, but you have to go through it to get to the bathrooms. The lighting is sort of funny in it so I don't think I would have being seated in the "ice" cave.

Yeah Downtown Disney. Went there in September. It was pretty good. definitely simlar to a Rainforest themed place, but I think Dinosaurs are way cooler. The bar area is my fav with the Giant Octopus and big dinosaurs in close proximity. The ice cave is pretty neat too.

Food and atmosphere is just like Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock type of places. Food is not amazing but the atmosphere is fun, especially for kids. We ate there last April on a Thursday afternoon and had no reservations, the place was empty.

It's not on the dining plan, if I recall correctly. Don't know if that factors into your plans or not.

The name is T-Rex Cafe.

Have you ever heard of Build-A-Bear? Inside the T-Rex Cafe's gift shop is a Build-A-Dino area. It's done by the Build-A-Bear company.

T-Rex Cafe is owned by the same company that owns Rainforest Cafe, Landry Restaurants, and that's why they are so similar.

T-Rex Cafe has several dining rooms each with a different theme, and one of the rooms is the ice cave room.
