I'm wondering how big the bunkbeds are at the WL. I have 2 sons, 12 & 17. My 12 year old loves the idea of bunkbeds. But are the bunks large enough for a big teen? Or will my 17 year old look like Vince Vaughn did in The Fred Claus bunkbed scene?

We went to WL in October 2008 and had a bunk-bed room. My 2 boys were ages 8 & 17. The 17 year old is 6' 1" and although his legs were a "bit" longer than the bed, it worked out just fine. No complaints and it was (in his opinion) WAYYYY better than sleeping with his younger brother! LOL!

Yeah, my sons really dislike sleeping together. And if my oldest was 6' 1", i'm certain they would hate it even more. :bump: Thanks for the good info!

our kids are now 18 and 16 and would much prefer the smallish bunkbeds to sharing a queen.

my husband slept on one of the bunks one night and though it did fit him well, bc it seems to be a standard twin, he complained that it was much more uncomfortable than the regular bed. I wouldnt order bunk beds for that reason. We were suprised with them and they were a gift but our kids are small and as they gain weight and age, they need a better mattress. Dh was tight and stiff the next day.
