Dec. 26, 1923 – Walt Disney received a telegram from New York distributor Margaret Winkler stating that she has received his Alice Comedy “Alice’s Day at Sea.”
Dec. 26, 1927 – Disney’s Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoon “Rickety Gin” was released.
Dec. 26, 1932 – Newsman Dave MacPherson was born in Ithaca, N.Y. In July 1955 he would make Disneyland history when he became the first paying customer to enter the Anaheim park.
Dec. 26, 1938 – Lux Radio Theater with the cooperation of Walt Disney Productions presented an adaptation of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Walt Disney himself was interviewed twice during the hour-long radio presentation.
Dec. 26, 1941 – Disney’s Goofy cartoon “The Art of Self Defense” was released.
Dec. 26, 1947 – Disney’s Pluto cartoon “Pluto’s Blue Note” was released.
Dec. 26, 1953 – Disney’s animated “Peter Pan” was released in Denmark and Norway.
Dec. 26, 1955 – The Mickey Mouse Club aired the episode “Today is Fun With Music Day” on ABC-TV.
Dec. 26, 1956 – The Disneyland TV series aired the episode “Searching for Nature’s Mysteries” on ABC-TV.
Dec. 26, 1957 – ABC-TV’s “Zorro” series debuted the episode “Zorro, Luckiest Swordsman Alive.”
