New Years Day

Ok I've heard just how crowded New Years Eve is at MK. What about crowds on Jan 1 and 2?

We love New Years at WDW...and have celebrated the last five there (and plan to make it six in a row this year). The parks are definitely crazy busy on New Years Eve and we generally don't even attempt to do much riding if we enter the parks at all. We are fireworks junkies and have a little schedule worked out that allows us to max out on the pyrotechnic stuff.

The crowds on New Years Day, IMO, tend to kind of depend on what day of the week New Years Day falls on....if New Years is say on a Friday and people have two more days to get home then the crowds stay around longer after the holiday....but if New Years Day is on say Monday then folks are already having to be catching flights home.

But in any event the early mornings on January first aren't bad at all (lots of folks are still asleep). And then on January 2nd the crowds really start to taper off.

an insider told me that EPCOT is actually the hardest to get into on new years eve...just passing it along.

For us New Years day MK was virtually empty till aroudn 2 pm....then the masses started coming in....not sure which "day" it was....just remember it being great !!
