Nov. 27, 1937 – The final cels for “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” were painted. The film’s grand premiere is less than a month away.
Nov. 27, 1943 – Academy Award-winning singer-songwriter Randy Newman, who scored the music for many Disney films such as “Toy Story,” “James and the Giant Peach,” A Bug’s Life,” and “Monsters Inc.” was born in Los Angeles, Ca.
Nov. 27, 1955 – Bill Nye the Science Guy was born in Washington, D.C. Besides appearing on an episode of Disney Channel’s MMC, Nye acted as a science consultant for the 1997 feature “Flubber.” He is a comedian, TV host, science educator, and mechanical engineer. Nye appears in “Ellen’s Energy Adventure” in Epcot and provides the voice in the “antiquated” museum pre-show to Animal Kingdom’s “Dinosaur.”
Nov. 27, 1957 – The Disney TV show aired “How to Relax.”
Nov. 27, 1958 – The cast of Disney’s Zorro appeared at Disneyland.
Nov. 27, 1959 – The Disney TV show aired “A Storm Called Maria.”
Nov. 27, 1960 – Walt Disney Presents aired part-2 of “Moochie of Pop Warner Football.”
Nov. 27, 1975 – Actor, musician, and voice actor Danny Cookey was born in Moore, Ok. He is the voice of Disney’ “Dave the Barbarian.” (TV fans may recall Cooksey for his role of Sam on the hit series Different Strokes for 3 years.)
Nov. 27, 1983 – The Disney TV movie “Krag, the Kootenay Ram” aired in Canada.
Nov. 27, 1986 – Disney’s television special “Disney’s Fluppy Dogs” aired on ABC-TV.
