Nov. 25, 1911 – Illustrator Paul Murray was born in Missouri. He would go on to draw Disney comic books; especially the adventurous ‘Mickey Mouse’ stories of the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s.
Nov. 25, 1919 – Director and writer Norman Tokar, known for his work on the Disney films “The Apple Dumpling Gang,” “Snowball Express,” “Rascal,” and “The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit,” was born in Newark, N.J.
Nov. 25, 1933 – Disney’s Mickey Mouse cartoon “Giantland” was released.
Nov. 25, 1938 – Disney’s “Ferdinand the Bull” was released.
Nov. 25, 1949 – Disney’s Donald Duck cartoon “Slide, Donald, Slide” was released.
Nov. 25, 1955 – The Mickey Mouse Club Circus” opened as the first major addition to Disneyland.
Nov. 25, 1955 – The Mickey Mouse Club aired the episode “Today is Talent Round-Up Day” on ABC-TV.
Nov. 25, 1962 – Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color aired part 2 of “The Magnificent Rebel.”
Nov. 25, 1971 – The CircleVision 360 film, “America the Beautiful” opened in Tomorrowland at WDW. (Closed Mar. 15, 1974, would reopen Mar. 15, 1975 and close once again on Sept. 9, 1984)
Nov. 25, 1973 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired part 1 of “Run, Cougar, Run.”
