We are doing a Southern Caribbean cruise in Feb and was checking out the shore excursions. We are stopping at St Thomas, Barbados, St Lucia, St Kitts and St Maartens. Can anyone recommend any particular excursion or even what to do when not participating in an organized excursion. There is a large group of us, but we sometimes go off and do our own thing during the excursions and then we all meet back up on the cruise ship later. Ours is a family of 3, DS will be 19 at the time.

We did swimming with the Sea Lions in St. Thomas. We were not on a cruise though so I don't know if that is offered. The shopping in St. Thomas is great. I got some amazing jewelry at great prices.

There is a website, cruise critic, that I go to for all my cruises. A lot of times they aren't as nice as everyone here at Intercot, but I've gotten a lot of good information from the people there, especially about independent tour operators that are much better than the tours the cruise lines offer.
