Nov. 11, 1925 – Bard’s Glendale Theater in Los Angeles, Ca. previewed Disney’s Alice comedy “Alice on the Farm.”
Nov. 11, 1925 – Legendary comedian Jonathan Winters was born in Dayton, Oh. He appeared in the 1971 TV special “The Grand Opening of Walt Disney World” and starred in the 1977 “Halloween Hall O’Fame.”
Nov. 11, 1929 – Disney’s 4th Silly Symphony cartoon “Hells Bells) was released.
Nov. 11, 1937 – The final animation was completed for “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” which is scheduled to open in a little more than a month!
Nov. 11, 1946 – Disney’s Donald Duck and Goofy cartoon “Frank Duck Brings’em Back Alive” was released.
Nov. 11, 1946 – The day before the premiere of Disney’s “Song of the South,” a parade was held in Atlanta, Ga. With Walt himself, the governor of Georgia, and William B. Hartsfield the mayor of Atlanta. There were bands, floats, and some of the characters from the film. A luncheon at the Capital Club and a tea at the Wren’s Nest followed.
Nov. 11, 1953 – Disney’s animated film “Ben and Me” was released.
Nov. 11, 1953 – Disney’s animated “Peter Pan” was released in Mexico.
Nov. 11, 1953 – Disney’s Donald Duck cartoon “Working for Peanuts” was released.
Nov. 11, 1955 – The Mickey Mouse Club aired the episode “Today is Talent Round-up Day” on ABC-TV.
