A friend of mine will be staying at WDW in two weeks with her 12 year old son. He will turn 13 on one of their days at WDW.

She asked the following:

1) Is there anything that she can inquire about that Disney does special for anyone on their birthday?

Is there anything at any of the theme parks that gets done for someone if the person is there on their birthday?

2) Also- do any theme park restaurants do anything special for a birthday if she tells them when they arrive?

Tell your friend to make sure to get him a Happy Birthday button at check in (if staying on property) or at Guest Relations at a park. He will get lots of HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes from both CM and people in general.

If she made note of the birthday celebration when making their ADR's there will definitely be something special...a candle in dessert, etc. Sometimes, just wearing the button will prompt a restaurant to do something special.

If she mentions the birthday to mousekeeping he may get a special towel animal sculpture and she mentions it to the conciege he may receive a special bithday card with signatures from the characters.

You may find this information on celebrating a birthday (http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/misc/birthday.asp)at Disney World helpful.

Let it be known where ever you go and watch the outpouring of Disney spirit upon the young man!!!

Seriously, go to each parks guest relations! Celebrate the entire trip!!

Tell everyone, form waiters and waitresses to disney employees...they really make a big deal of it!!

Is she staying at a Disney resort? If so, tell her to let the people know at the front desk - he could get a very special phone call on his birthday!

In addition to the above, if you tell the greeter at Voices of Liberty in the American Adventure at Epcot that you're celebrating a birthday, they'll sing "Happy Birthday" during their show. They also make a phone call to you in the lobby there.
