Parade taping is usually the first week of Dec. and Pop Warner should be checking out on Dec. 11th. I'm hoping for smaller crowds too. But, with the free dining plan and all the discounts ya just never know. :mickey:

It still beats the heck out of going in July.

The crowds are so much better.

Your biggest crowds will be at the Osbourne Family Lights and Fantasmic plus Wishes.

Don't miss the Castle lighting at the MK.

Christmas at Walt Disney World can;t be beat. :santa3::santa3::santa3:

Crowds are definitely manageable during those dates.

Eh ... it will be pretty busy. Those first two weeks of December are DVC heaven, because it's value season yet you can still get all the Christmas stuff.

Expect some crowds. Including me. :mickey:

I am going during those dates and pretty much go every year at that time. There are crowds but they are manageable.

I am checking in on the 11th as well. Went at this time in 2007 and I really loved it. Pop Warner was gone and schools weren't out yet, weather was great except one night that got really cold and the decorations were wonderful. I hope I have the same experience. The Osbourne Lights at DHS was probably the most crowded except for the Christmas party at MK that we attended.

This will be my third year to go at these exact dates. Last year, we noticed the crowds were up from the year before. Not real sure what to attribute to, but it was. The most people were at the Osborne Lights, mainly when they were turned on. MVMCP was crowded this year, as well.

There will be tons of DVCers there, including myself, because, like said earlier, we can stay 'cheaply'.

With all that said, it is NOT as bad as summer. Even if there were that many people, the temps and decorations make thing seem more tolerable.

Just make sure to get to the parks as early as possible because most Holiday events (MVMCP, Castle lights, Osborne Lights, Candlelight Processional) take place at night, so crowds will increase. Getting up at opening is good practice at Disney anyway.. that is when we do most of our attractions!
